Get Your Glow Back with Vitamin C

We all love antioxidants, partly due to their multi-talented abilities to protect us from environmental pollution, the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays, and their amazing ability to erase the visible signs of aging. But, like all antioxidants, they only work with continuous use and if applied topically, with sun protection.

Recently, I received a complaint about my Rapid Bright Ultra-Brightening Serum. The customer stated that after using the entire bottle, she didn’t see results. And at first, I felt sad because I live and breath skincare. Not just plain old skincare, but products that are proven by science to give you mind-blowing results without unwanted irritation. So I began thinking, why didn’t the product work for her? After all, the product works perfectly for my discolorations. And not to mention, my skin is darker.

I then had that ah-ha moment. No sun protection. Like the antioxidants that we ingest, either from multi-vitamins or vegetables, topical antioxidants, like those found in Rapid Bright, should be protected from the sun at all times. Think about it, most of us acquire discolorations and an uneven skin tone due to the lack of sun protection, and when using antioxidants, protection from the sun is a must!

Topical Vitamin C

Keep in mind, a daily dose of topical vitamin C is a great thing. Especially sodium ascorbyl phosphate, the stabilized form found in Rapid Bright. Like the other types of vitamin C, sodium ascorbyl phosphate is proven to even out the skin tone, improve hydration, and significantly enhance and strengthen the skin’s outer barrier, keeping your skin youthful and looking years younger. However, if not protected from environmental factors like UVA and UVB rays, antioxidants lose their efficacy, and visible results will be minimal if any at all.

The Best Protection

That's where sunscreen comes in. To increase your chances of seeing beautiful results, wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day of the year is important. Trust me, making sunscreen a part of your daily regimen will not only reduce the risk of skin cancer but will also allow you to get the best results possible from your vitamin-enriched products. Remember, if you're not using sunscreen 365 days a year, you're not going to see the results you were hoping to see.
